The staff of MendisOne organized an “Ice Cream Dansala” for Poson Poya. The day that commemorates the introduction of Buddhism to Sri Lanka by Arahat Maha Mahinda Thera.
We extend our earnest gratitude to all staff who supported this and spread happiness among many!
BOWL-A-THON 2023
Team Prudential Shipping was crowned champions at BOWL-A-THON 2023, bowling tournament organized by CASA (Ceylon Association of Shipping Agents), on 02nd June 2023 at EXCEL world. Team Prudential Shipping had a great time competing against some of the best teams in the industry.
We are very proud of our team for all the hard work they put in. The team’s victory is a testament to the power of teamwork and perseverance. They were able to overcome any tension and focus on their game, which ultimately led to victory.
April the time of the biggest cultural event in Sri Lanka, the Sinhala and Tamil New year, a time of celebrations, of traditions, fun and games, getting together with good cheer.
All at MendisOne got together on Saturday, 22nd April to celebrate with tradition, games and laughter. Colleagues spending time together, dressed in multi colour vibrancy, taking part in the many activities lined up.
Well done and a big thank you to our organizing committee, for such an enjoyable and memorable day!

Employees from all departments teamed up and were given an assortment of ingredients to cook up a creation in keeping with the Valentine theme! A fun and partly messy event to take our minds off work and getting creative . . . . tap into our inner Willy Wonks!
An event that encouraged great team work, laughter, improved relationships between fellow colleagues.

Blood . . . . the most precious gift one can give to another, the gift of Life . . . .
On 20th January, we organized a blood donation camp at our own venue Beacon, at Resolute. Our staff readily came together to contribute and assist with saving another’s life, with the gift of blood.
We thank the organizing committee for this very thoughtful project and making arrangements that made it possible for our employees and all the other ready volunteers, who made up a total of 55 persons for coming forward to make this very successful.
We hope and pray that this gift of blood will be a helping hand in saving a precious life.

SMART QUIZ 2021/2022
The Grand Finale of the quiz was held successfully on 01st April 2022 at the Company’s very own Beacon. The quiz was consisting of 4 rounds.
6 teams contested and the team Black Hawks won the grand prize.

Light a Candle – 2019
Prudential Shipping rallied its CSV efforts to aid and donate to the ‘Light A Candle – 2019” project organized by the Hand to Hand charity community by providing nearly 50 students at the Namalgama Prathamika Vidyalaya in Polonnaruwa with school bags as part of an overall goal of tending to their stationery requirements for the academic year of 2020. This endeavour successfully achieved its goal of bringing joy to the young inquisitive students of the school as well as their hard working parents.

Movember – Changing the face of giving
Over the course of November, the selfless and generous men of Prudential Shipping , Helanka Vacations and Premium trading took on their roles of ‘Mo Bros’, growing and grooming their moustaches throughout the month to raise funds for a donation to the Shilpa Child Development Home by becoming walking billboards as many outsiders would inquire as to why they were growing their moustache. However, this event wasn’t just for men, the women of the companies or ‘Mo Sistas’ showcased their unwavered support towards the men in their lives by raising awareness, signing them up and doing all a Mo Bro would do, except without the Mo.
Prudential Shipping and Helanka Vacations donated a sum to the Shilpa Child Development Home for each Mo Bro who participated, thus engaging and motivating all in the the true essence of Movember. The total donation were made from donations both internally and from the gracious contributions of the company’s friends and families.

The Resolute Christmas Market
Prudential Shipping and Helanka Vacations once again joined together to kick-start the Christmas season with a burst of spirit. In our very own premises, a Christmas Market was held! With the aim of Empowering and Enriching the ambitious entrepreneurs of the cottage industry, over 15 stalls were brought together for no fee under one roof to make the event a great success. With Christmas music chiming in the background, glimmering decorations engulfing the venue and a vast array of quality products such as apparel, jewellery, food, decorations and plants layering the stalls, Creating Shared Value truly displayed its virtue here.

CSV at the Sobitha Vidyalaya – Rajagiriya
In recent years, Prudential Shipping has made it a point to provide numerous items to the students of the nearby Sobitha Vidyalaya. From a school wide donation of shoes and bags to gifts such as a laptop for the top batch performers, we at Prudential Shipping are more than grateful to have brought joy to the young students here.

Christmas Party for the Children of Maw Sevana and Newbridge
During December of 2017, we at Prudential Shipping put together a Christmas Party filled with games and gifts for over 30 children from Maw Sevana – Mattakuliya and Newbridge – Nittabuwa. Held within our very own festively decorated auditorium, numerous events were put together such as games, a dancing session, Christmas gift giving and even a special appearance from Santa Claus himself! Helanka Vacations and Premium Trading aided in the logistics and preparation segment of the event collectively allowing for a great success visible through the happiness of the young children from the two homes.

ICU Trolley at the General Hospital
Upon a request from the General Hospital of Sri Lanka for an ICU trolley, Prudential Shipping took the initiative to provide for this alongside a donation of other trolleys for the betterment of the hospital and its patients.
